NASUGBU, Batangas – IT was really an adventurous pre-nuptial photoshoot at Nasugbu, Batangas, wherein we survived the treacherous waves going in and out of the island, forcing us to leave the wonderful Fortune Island by 3pm or perhaps to the extent of not staying there by late afternoon of 4pm, or else mammothed waves will caught you stranded at the island where heat is formidable (so, you need to bring extra protection like lotion, sunscreen, shades and among others), really a disturbing heat.
But it doesn’t get in our great images with my ever reliable Fujifilm XT1 with 10-24mm f4 lens at high noon engagement session with couple Sherman and Reina, and the additional help from Phottix Atlas 2, with an extremely surprising and really impressive creations by Francis Libiran gowns in such a way brings out more of the Greek-inspired structures Acropolis in Athens with its pristine beach of semi-fine white sand and of course its turquoise water, making Fortune Island a wonderful resort and an exciting place of photography engagement, and of course, making our pre-nuptial photoshoot really a remarkable and inspiring one as we all hike to the lighthouse for a wonderful sight-seeing.
McARTHUR HIGHWAY, Matina, Davao City – Hailed as the “Most Discipline City”, kudos to Hon. Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Davao is home to the famous Mount Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines where nature lovers as well as adventurers usually plan a trek or a hike not just only for some fun and excitement but as well as for appreciating the wonders of nature. Davao City is also known as the “Durian Capital” of the Philippines. Though Durian is distinctive for its strong odour and having formidable thorn-covered husk, it is highly regarded by many people, most specially in Southeast Asia as the “King of Fruits” because of its very pleasant to taste.
Davao is the fourth most populous city in the Philippines, it become more popular because of the mountain resort wherein tourists enjoys it providing view of Davao City and Davao Gulf. It was in the early 70’s, the resort was discovered wherein the area was totally covered with only blanket of thick and tall wild grass.
POLILLO, Quezon Province – If you are looking for an unequaled natural beauty of a paradise found only here at the local shore and within your reach, then your next destination will goin’ to be at the exactly 21 kilometers southeast of Polillo Island, in Quezon Province. Located off the Eastern Coast of Luzon and just 60 nautical miles east of Manila, you can really enjoy the wondrous paradise found only in Balesin Island at the quick of 25-30 minute plane ride away from Manila.
Balesin is a 500 hectare tropical island with 7.3 kilometres of pristine white crystal-clear water beaches developed by Alphaland Corporation, you can enjoy the different themed villages only found at the Balesin Island Club, hailed by the media as “seven countries in one island“, wherein members-only policy are in mean restriction.
Among the themed villages found and developed at the Balesin Island Club are the likes of Bali in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, Mykonos in Greece, St. Tropez in France, Costa del Sol in Spain, Toscana in Italy and our very own lovely island, the Balesin. All in all, the themed villages are exactly a replica designed to look, taste and feel like you are in the country with its wonderful architectural designs from interior to landscaping up to the variety of impressive prepared food almost exactly recreated and reproduced.
It was really a fun and exciting debut photoshoot at the Balesin Island Club wherein “Around the World” concept was detailed with my ever reliable working companion, the Fujifilm XT1 56mm f1.2 APD, making each shot looks like a real thing.
Nonetheless, it was really a one-of-a-kind debut photoshoot, another work and pleasure at the paradise called Balesin, luckily… there was I at the island.

OSAKA-SHI, Osaka, Japan – Now shifting to a more powerful gear as I went up high above freezing cold clouds off to Japan. In fact, I’m the kind of individual who doesn’t mind working during holidays. While everybody else is on Christmas party mode, merrily drinking and sumptuously dining, here I was cooking yet another great something work related, up here in Osaka.
After a successful wedding engagement in Iloilo, I varoom up high to Japan for another yet best thing to come. As a wedding photographer, I have long accepted the fact that this holidays are working days for me (and yes, no time for sweety-cutie-pahootie love life). This is my reality after all, and I embrace it with so much gratefulness. Today, something big is cooking here in Japan and of course with my ever dependable, with my travel body, my partner and my soulmate, my love of my life – Fujifilm XT1 graphite silver. And I am all revved up and just waiting for the best thing to get into real great full swing.
Tomorrow, after the “something” best thing come to its full conformity, I shall drink and dine the whole day! Just like having first dinner in Osaka. Having yakiniku in one of the small restaurant fronting my hotel stay at Swissotel Nankai Osaka and it’s freezing cold out here at 3 degrees. Thanks to my good friend who accompanied me last time, Mr. Allan Ty.
Anyway, really love eating yakiniku, it’s the “grilled meat“, in Japanese which, in its wide sense, refers to grilled meat dishes. Yakiniku originally referred to the “barbecue” of western food, which was given by Japanese writer, Robun Kanagaki. Nowadays, yakiniku is commonly known in the world as the Japanese style of cooking bite-sized meat usually best with vegetables on grilled over flame of charcoals be it done by dried out distillation or electric grill.
Nevertheless, I enjoy life freezing cold up here in Osaka and really love eating yakiniku at its best, with typical ingredients including beef slices of loin and chuck (rōsu), beef tounge served with crushed onion, salt and lemon juice and beef liver (rebā), also lip smacking with bell pepper, carrots, shiitake and mushrooms. どうぞお召し上がりください Dōzo omeshi agari-kudasai. Happy yakiniku eating and happy holidays, as well!

AS the new year is fast approaching, as we welcome a new year that will stand before us, once again, like a chapter in any great book waiting to be written and make known, we can help but to bring to mind those wonderful memories we all unintentionally written and told. At the same time, as we are about to face again a new year of challenges, hopes, new questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of happiness and self-discovery and learnings, and yes, of course, our life story setting another new goals and pages of our own chapters.
With all the people and places we come to agreement with so much excitement and delight in every work entrusted before our artistic ability and experiences learned and coveted. Most of all, with all the people whom came and shaped all the goodness this year successfully showered, we owe you a lot of overwhelming gratefulness and for making each and everyone part of my life’s own chapter. To all men and women who were always standing at our sides, together honing and creating more vividness in our own shades and weaknesses, we owe you lots of prayers for always keeping the humility in our own indefatigable journeys of life and its sacrifices.
May the unfolding new year bring us all together again for yet another best of its best year to offer as we all embrace the goodness of what we so-called life. After all 2014 showered the best life for all of us.

And there was life…most celebrated with our own images and words.
ABSOLUTELY and definitely not maybe, it was the most spectacular and breathtaking Friday night to wind-up this year’s engagament in wedding photography at Manila Polo Club located at McKinley Road, Forbes Park in Makati City.
